Update

Where to start, where to start. Yeah, been a while since I've posted, so I'll just put up a short list.

- saying more phrases: "Look at that!" "Here you go," "Pee pee in the potty."
- nodding yes more
- went to the beach and had a blast (I'll post pictures soon)
- using the potty more regularly
- super clingy lately
- LOVES the swimming pool! He has been apprehensive of the pool during swimming lessons, but at the beach he really got into it. He loves to jump off the side into my arms and "swim" around. He's pretty good at kicking and will stick his face in the water. Would often ask for the "dawdur Mommy" while at the beach.
- missed pushing his toy shopping cart around so much while at the beach that he would drag/push the cooler up and down the short sidewalk between our condo and the swimming pool, putting his woobie on top for a ride, naturally.
- calls me Mommy now instead of Daddy. Sarah is still Dada.

Number 2!

We've been working pretty casually on potty training for a while now and Cloosty's done really well. A lot of times he'll ask to sit on the potty and do nothing but stuff toilet paper in the bowl *sigh*. Lately, though, he's been performing almost regularly (at least once in the evening at home) and his teachers say that he enjoys sitting on the potty at school, but hasn't done anything for them yet.

Christopher was sick over the weekend (Thursday - Saturday) so he got to spend a lot of time with me. I picked him up from school around lunch time (had a fever), gave him some medicine and sent him off to take a nap. Afterwards, we were playing in his room when he had some gas. He looked at me and said, "Poo poo." I perked up. "Do you want to go sit on the potty?" He nodded yes (a new trick for him) and off we went.

He sat there for about 5 minutes while we talked and played peek-a-boo when he got "the look" on his face and TA-DA! Poopie! We cheered, clapped, did high 5's and so forth. He was very happy and proud of himself. What a big boy!

Of course, he hasn't done this since, but we'll continue to work on it. :)
