New Tooth

Cloosty has been stuck with just four teeth for quite some time now, although I can see that his eye-teeth are soon to make an appearance. Seems like it's taking a really long time for these suckers to erupt; but as we all know, all kids are different.

Yet, while we wait for those elusive front teeth to break on through to the other side, I noticed something the other day that I find amazing and proves that they are, in fact, different. I was, as usual, holding him (he's become semi-permanently attached lately) and was letting him lean back so he could be upside down. I got a really great view of his open mouth and saw something white in the top right part of his gums. I thought at first that it was food that had gotten stuck there - he had been eating crackers - so I stuck my finger in to clear it away (hey, I"m a mom and we do things like that) only to discover that it is a huge molar!

Hey! That's not the next tooth that's supposed to be, well, next!

But WOW! It's a BIG, HUGE tooth for such a small person! I'm not worried or anything, just surprised. No wonder he's been happy about eating lately. ;)

Chef Cloosty

Recently, the Rooster has wanted me to hold him while I'm at the stove cooking dinner so he can watch. He gives his little goat laugh, says "Hot," leans over and blows. It's quite funny.

However, he has a bit of a temper if I don't pick him up immediately. Naturally, if I'm doing something that requires both hands I can't pick him up, but he doesn't understand that. Nope. He pushes me away from the stove, grunting, gets in front of me, reaches up and yells at me! The stinker! And if I don't do his bidding instantly, he hops up and down yelling and crying, arms reaching as high as he can. Sometimes he even tries to climb up my legs!

My reward, however, upon complying with his wishes is the goat laugh. He finds it fascinating and likes to taste test for me. If there is a resounding goat laugh I know that it is perfect. :D
