You remember this song from "Sound of Music," right?
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite thingsThe Rooster has a favorite thing. It's something so powerful that it soothes him when he's having a rough time and keeps him from getting into things he shouldn't. It's better than a lovey or blankey; better than a soft stuffed animal. What, you ask, is this mighty object?
Out of all the super cool toys, gadgets and high-tech clutter his favorite thing is:
A wet paper towel.
Yep, you heard it correctly - a wet paper towel. He loves to rub his face with it, or just holds it to his forehead. He'll wipe off whatever surface he can, he'll bite off small pieces and chew on it (I'm quick to take that from him, though), and he loves to simply hold it in his hand.
It's really not that strange, though. My nephew's favorite thing was a cotton ball.
Well, at least it's an inexpensive item. ;)
