What's new in Sarah's world?

January 19, 2007

What's been going on?

Here's a synopsis of things that have been happening:

- Christmas: Sarah got the coveted Baby Alive from Santa! She was super excited, but questioned why she only got 3 things from Santa. Sheesh, greedy thing. She got a ton of other things from us and everyone else. She also got a bunch of money from relatives and has already spent it all on babies, ponies, an Easy Bake Oven and other toys. We really need to get rid of some thing she doesn't play with anymore. Anyway, back to Baby Alive... it eats, it poops, and unlike the one I had eons ago, this one talks. It's eyes and mouth move... however, there seems to be a gear slipping inside because the eyes start to flutter as if she's having a Grand Mal seizure and makes a machine gun sound. Pete calls her Baby Machinegun Head. We're sending her back to the North Pole so Santa can fix her.

- Shadow: Sarah, my original shadow. I swear, those two follow me everywhere... the bathroom, my closet!?, everywhere. And because of that, I have a hard time talking to someone on the phone because here they come, talking or making loud noises so I can't hear. The other day I was talking to my mom and ran upstairs and locked myself in the bathroom. Not 20 seconds later, here comes Sarah knocking on the door. "Mommy, let me in. Mommy, what are you doing? Mommy, open the door." I told her to go see Daddy. She trotted off, but soon enough came back. She knocked lightly and said, in her normal voice, "Mommy, it's me, Daddy. Open the door." I busted out laughing. Needless to say that I dind't believe her. ;)

- Sick: Sarah had an ear infection last week and was milking it for all it was worth. She's better now, but with Cloosty in a new school, he's bringing home all new germs. So now Cloosty, Daddy and I are all sick. Naturally, Sarah is feeling left out and has diagnosed herself as having the "Barfing Cough." That's a barking cough to you and me, or the Croup. "Mommy, my throat hurts. I think I'm sick. I need to stay home. Take me to the doctor, but just for a visit. I don't want to get a shot." I told her that if she was sick, she couldn't go to her gymnastics class tomorrow, to which she replied, "I'm just a little better now." Heh. :D
