What's new in Sarah's world?

Egg Hunting
Here are a few pics (taken by Steph - I forgot our camera, as usual - doh!) from the great Easter Egg Hunt in Crestwood. I think we had just as much fun as the girls! I wouldn't be surprised if Sarah ate her weight in candy that afternoon.

What a blast!
Sarah had the best birthday party ever this past Saturday! It turned out to be the perfect day - 74 degrees with a light breeze and not a cloud in the sky.

Aunt Leslie and Uncle Burt were very brave to let us have the party at their house - THANKS!! We had a bouncy-thing (aka moonwalk), pizza, drinks, cake, presents and a slew of kids! Nothing was broken and no blood was involved, so I think we'll be invited back. ;)

I'll link to the pictures as soon as Uncle Phillip puts them on his site. I'm afraid I was too busy to even think about picking up the camera.

Sarah asked me to give everyone a big thanks for coming to her party. I hope this one party she'll remember in the years to come.

Birthday
Today is Sarah's birthday! I can't believe that my little girl is three already. Seems like only yesterday she first sat up on her own, cut her first tooth and took her first steps.

Now she's very independent - wanting to do everything "all by myself" and gets upset if you try to help her. She's potty trained, shares most of the time, likes to make up stories, sing songs, play, dance, and loves to help me do a lot of things around the house.

She's very smart, too. She surprises me every day with new things. She knows her colors, numbers, the alphabet, numerous songs, and some mighty impressive words like "impossible," "incredible," "humongous," and "fantastic," using them appropriately. She also says the cutest things - "Oh, that's very nice," "I have an idea," "That's a great idea!" "You're the best mommy," "You're the nicest mommy," "Pick me up, my legs are broken." Heh!

She's also quite the maniuplator. But what 3 year old isn't? ;)

This morning when I reminded her that today is her birthday she said, "I'm all grown up again!" :)

Spelling 101
As a reward for pooping in the potty, we've been giving Sarah miniature Hershey bars which she calls Daddy gum-gums (why? who knows). And she's also been more interested in reading - books, ingredients on items, mail, etc. She can't quite read polysorbate-80 on the back of a bottle of whatever, so she inserts what she thinks it should say.

For example, on a miniaute Hershey bar, H-E-R-S-H-E-Y-S spells:

"Sarah Grace Haddin is going to school to be with her friends."

She's so smart. :D
